The Bama Companies, Inc. is a legendary Tulsa-based family-owned food manufacturing company with roots going back to 1927 when founder Cornelia Alabama "Bama" Marshall began baking pies in her Texas kitchen, before her son Paul Marshall relocated the business to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1937. Today led by CEO Paula Marshall, Bama has grown into a global bakery powerhouse supplying handcrafted pies, biscuits, buns, pizza dough, pie shells, and frozen dough products to some of the world's largest restaurant chains including McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell across more than 20 countries. The company operates manufacturing facilities in the United States and abroad, including plants in Beijing and Guangzhou, China, and boasts a pie production line capable of producing 1,400 pies per minute. A recipient of the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and a certified B-Corp, Bama is deeply rooted in Tulsa's community and has been a cornerstone of Route 66 history with a commemorative historical marker on East 11th Street.
