Guthrie Green is a beloved 2.6-acre urban park and performance space located in the heart of Tulsa's Arts District, opened in September 2012 after transforming a former industrial brownfield site into a vibrant community gathering place. Developed and managed by the George Kaiser Family Foundation, the park features a covered outdoor stage, The Dock pavilion, interactive fountains, tree-lined paths, shade structures, and a large open lawn that hosts hundreds of free public events each year including live concerts, Food Truck Wednesdays, fitness classes, salsa dance nights, film screenings, markets, and festivals. The park is also a showcase of sustainable design, incorporating LED lighting, solar panels, stormwater recycling, and a geothermal heating and cooling system. All events at Guthrie Green are completely free and open to the public, making it Tulsa's favorite urban venue and true town square of the Arts District.
