El Rio Verde Restaurant

Tucked away on Trenton Avenue just east of downtown Tulsa, El Rio Verde is a from-scratch Mexican kitchen that has been a local secret for generations, drawing fans as famous as Garth Brooks and Kelly Rizzo. Recognizable by the large mural painted on the side of the small building, everything on the menu is made fresh daily. The legendary wet burrito, loaded with marinated meat and smothered in their famous enchilada sauce and queso blanco, is reason enough for the drive.
